George’s restaurant, which places a strong emphasis on modern European cuisine, is an integral part of Hotel Éclat Beijing, a luxury boutique hotel that offers guests to experience museum-quality art while enjoying stylish accommodation. Inspired by Parkview Green’s mission to be a hub of modern art and lifestyle, restaurant design concept is committed to the mission of sustainability, striving to push boundaries of science and imagination, to demonstrate a model of contemporary living.
Design is built upon the aesthetics of art, incorporating elements from art galleries, aiming to showcase the idea of luxurious art, artistic luxury. Its design style blends nostalgia and modernity, embodying the spirit of contemporary art. Decorations and art pieces are displayed like exhibits in an art gallery.
Iconic bright red color is chosen as the theme color which symbolizes vitality and passion, providing visual stimulation in a romantic atmosphere. One important feature is the modern painting in red tone placed on the glass curtain outside the restaurant which allows everyone to appreciate this masterpiece. It functions as a teaser and arouses potential customers’ curiosity to explore the idea of the restaurant.
Revitalizing ancient architecture in our daily life and preserving important old culture in modern context. At the entrance, after stepping up a flight of stairs, a pair of striking red doors in vintage design opens to the main dining hall. All seats, both chairs and sofas, are in the iconic red consistent with the main design. For a sense of privacy, lively stained glass screens in rainbow colors are built above big clear windows.
For impactful visual effects, the idea of contrast is applied. Peaceful white contrasts with passionate red. A peaceful white stone wall is embedded with dynamic “rolling waves". Hanging from the ceiling is a rigid metal sculpture Water Drops, giving an exceptional feeling of momentum.
The VIP lounge is another cozy space to appreciate art, Andy Warhol's Marilyn Monroe is subtly revealed on a curtain screen built with strings of metal beads. Adorned with art pieces and a collection of contrasting colors, materials and forms, it offers a journey of sensory exploration.
