GRAVITY

GRAVITY is a set of sculpted and silicone molded tablewares, including WAVE Placemat , WARP Placemat, TORUS Coaster and RIPPLE Trivet. Each design plays with optical illusions and gravity-inspired visual language, exaggerating the impact of weight on surfaces. The vivid colors of each design add brightness and fun to the table. They are made of Non-Toxic 100% Food Grade Premium LFGB Silicone, which are dishwasher safe and can withstand temperatures of up to 250 °C. The edges lines of each design are elevated to minimize liquid leaking and spilling when using. Gravity is a call for reimagining and rethinking our dining experience.





Description of each product:

WAVE Placemat emphasizes the weight and importance of dining utensils. The wave pattern on both sides creates the optical illusion that the placemat is pulled under the weight of utensils. It also provides a flowing dining experience by introducing wave phenomena to your table.



WARP Placemat emphasizes the weight and importance of each plate. It creates the optical illusion that the placemat is vacuumed toward the center under the weight of the plate. It also blends the boundaries of 2D and 3D by introducing a warp effect into dining space.



TORUS Coaster comes in two different colorways. Inspired by the torus universe mathematical model, the coaster gives an optical illusion of drinkware sunk into the center. The detailed curvy pattern on sculpted surfaces make them look more three-dimensional and also creates floating effects.



RIPPLE Trivet simulates ripples formed when gravity pushes water away, creating ripples that gradually become thinner and lighter from the center outward. The light blue color and water-like form provide the sensation of cooling down hot dishes.
