The demonstration area of "NEW TIMES VILLA" is situated on Futian Street in Yiwu City, occupying a vital metropolitan section of the area. The project is deeply entrenched in exploring the beauty of the landscape, exemplifying the adept management of the intricate balance between mankind and nature. Centred around the core idea of Eastern landscapes and the combination of Yiwu's scenery and local geographical texture, the concept of "court within a garden, garden within a court" is better practised through the elaborately designed dual-life system of the salon and the garden. Layer by layer, deeper and deeper, the design showcases the wisdom of ancient craftsmanship, reshaping the conventional residences of Eastern aesthetics.
The project's main entrance is designed to take advantage of the natural height difference between the terrain and the riverbank, as well as the lush green environment, giving the impression of entering a low-profile hideaway. The natural passage, comprised of the original stone and the winding forest belt, enhanced by the spiritual and natural landscape, including the stacked water and the cypress yellow retaining wall, enhances the spatial elevation treatment. This design guides visitors into a transition space that is both poetic and picturesque.
Exploring further into the space, the intricate materials and the interplay of light and shadow illustrate the dynamic aesthetics. The large-scale eaves of the gatehouse, exquisite marble with luxurious green stone, and smooth metal lines create a gentle and natural spatial undertone. The waterfall in the opposite view brings double enjoyment to the eyes and ears, forming a stirring natural picture. Along with the delicate vegetation and warm lighting, as well as the contrasting colours of the wall façade, the space is enriched with a layered effect, creating a poetic garden hidden in the metropolis. Furthermore, the walkway is situated on the mirrored waterscape, offering visitors a distinctive experience reminiscent of walking on water. This design allows every visit to serve as an opportunity for meaningful engagement with nature
