Hegra, an archaeological site in Al-Ula, Saudi Arabia, boasts a well-preserved Nabataean city due to the dry climate, lack of settlement, and local beliefs. Al-Ula features a rich combination of heritage, culture, and natural beauty. A 3D printed pavilion, proposed as a welcome center, reflects the local geographical features and pays tribute to the area's beauty. Utilizing an additive process, 3D printing technology allows for efficient, on-site construction using a combination of 70% local soil with additives+30% Salt with additives These are sustainable materials like clay and sand composites that blend seamlessly with the environment, ensuring minimal impact on the site. This innovative approach to construction ensures that new interventions are carried out with great care and respect for the unique historical and natural context of Al-Ula and Hegra, while promoting sustainability and reducing the environmental footprint.
