HEU's Smart Canteen

This project is the first canteen on campus which has installed an intelligent system to operate and manage. Therefore, it is named "Damei Smart Canteen".

Bright View's design team has proposed the space design with technological innovation positioned as its core theme so as to fit in cultural atmosphere of Harbin Engineering University.

Among which "blue" and "light" become the two major focuses in terms of designing, it is known that "blue" echoes with the themed color on HEU's emblem, which reflects the school running characteristics in serving China's shipbuilding engineering industry, naval equipment, marine development and nuclear energy applications; while "light" symbolizes that HEU inherits the fine tradition of "Harbin Military Engineering Institute" and HEU has become the torch carrier to pass on the historic mission and keep it alive generations after generations, advancing from offshore to remote ocean.

With regards to color scheme, the sci-tech white and the metallic gray, along with the emblem blue, are adopted to underlines HEU's spirit in academic activities, which is a great learning in pursuit of truth and a major undertaking in pursuit of supreme good.

In the "Wondering Deck Hall", it is painted mainly with blue and white colors. Decoration materials such as wooden tiles, carbon crystal panels and acoustic panels are introduced and displayed into concise blocks or simple lines, fully revealing the futuristic look brought by intelligent technology.

In the "Nuclear Energy Area", galvanized pipes are assembled and arranged into a lift gesture, while a powered ball is placed to float in the air, implying massive strengths have been accumulated within HEU's marine-related disciplines and the infinite potential for great marine undertaking in China.

In the "Happy Sailing Hall", a combination of HAPPY MEAL TIME on the ceiling surface and cartoon characters created through lamps arrangement along the wall reveals the mission of Happy Mealtime Catering Group is to provide healthy meals and escort the health of HEU's students.
