Located in Taipei's riverfront overlooking the Xindian Creek, this cozy dwelling boasts a wide view of the surrounding vista. The design takes inspiration from nature and incorporates metaphors, as well as the attributes of materials and elements to express the transition from urban hustle-bustle into a state of serenity and truthfulness.

Use of decorative substances is kept down for this 132-square-meter interior, allowing interplay of natural light and shadows to create a vivid spatial contour. The common areas, comprising of the living, dining, bar and kitchen, are seamlessly interconnected to provide visual continuation and a smooth flow. Every corner of the home enjoys an unobstructed view of the riverbank. While the private zones of the home are relatively understated, the larger common areas serve as a platform for fostering emotional connections among family members, as they engage in a variety of shared activities and experiences in this flexible and inviting space.
