Shangde Center Lighting and Art Installation

Located in Daxing, near Daxing new airport , Shangde Center,a new landmark in the south of Beijing.It is a commercial complex integrating shopping mall, offices, art and life experience. It has a total investment of 2.6 billion RMB and construction area of 192,200 square meters. This complex includes three platinum five-star office buildings and a shopping mall,. Lighting design for all scope of this complex including architecture, interior and landscape. Especially , we designed and produced a mapping installation “String” for this project, which presented the vision of this developer. Lighting design started from 2018 and finished in 2023.

The lighting design of the office building considered the connection of the office building and the commercial space from an overall perspective. It not only create a platinum office building, but also meets the requirement marketing and operations of the project, so lighting atmosphere should be concise and elegant.Lighting design for commercial buildings highlighted the interior and exterior spaces to attract the consumers

The metal curtain wall is the featured part of the commercial facade and we used 3000K white light to strengthen it as well as used continuous vertical light troughs to light up the recessed corners of the curtain wall. The curtain wall louver lighting is the most distinctive part of the tower lighting, lighting design strengthened the horizontal and vertical facade louvers. The light will change as the viewing angle moves.

The mapping installation “String”expresses the integration and interpretation of "people" and technology in space. The multi-faceted nature of the mapping animation attempts to break through the three-dimensional form of space and explore multi-dimensional space, while leaving enough space for mapping new media to empower sculpture again. Expand unlimited possibilities between traditional and digital art.The mapping light show is based on the expression of modern new media art, integrating surrealism, fantasy, magic, and beauty to create a multi-dimensional and poetic experience for the audience using non-realistic techniques. A performance with a strong flavor of science and a unique naked-eye 3D visual experience!
