With the theme of "from micro to macro", the 2023 Kaohsiung Design Festival is about aesthetic education from children's perspective. The festival has six exhibition areas, exploring the macro from the micro.
Observation is the innate talent of children. This year, the Kaohsiung Design Festival returned to the pure nature of design, replacing the designer's perspective of the world with children's. The festival invited over 150 children from six elementary schools in Kaohsiung to participate. They were guided to look at familiar perspectives from their daily lives, which were then transformed into exhibition materials by the design team. The result is a colorful and unexpected collaboration. By looking at things from different perspectives, we can see a new vision from the micro to the macro, allowing children to learn while having fun and allowing the public to realize that "design is everywhere".
