Whether catering to the needs of busy parents, individuals with financial or social limitations, or those residing in remote areas, CUTCAM offers newfound confidence and accessibility while providing significant time and cost savings.

During the COVID-19 pandemic, many people attempted to cut their hair or had friends and family assist them, often resulting in uneven and unsatisfactory outcomes. As millions worldwide resorted to at-home haircuts during the lockdowns out of necessity, it prompted the question: Could a rearview camera behind our head, viewable on our smartphones, enhance the DIY haircut experience without the need for mirrors or the risk of mistakes? Can such a solution promote grooming independence for those who lack access to or resources to visit a barbershop regularly? These questions inspired our mission. Following a successful crowdfunding campaign, development, and manufacturing, we assembled units in our garage and shipped them to our loyal backers in 2024.
