BAY de LUNA

PROJECT BAY, initiated by SHENZHENBAY MIXC, consists of a series of pop-up events, art series, and themed markets that connect culture, art, fashion, and lifestyle. All activities within PROJECT BAY are branded with the "BAY" name, symbolizing SHENZHENBAY MIXC's commitment to engaging the community in the Greater Bay Area.



During the Mid-Autumn Festival in 2023, SHENZHENBAY MIXC unveiled the spectacular art installation exhibition, BAY de LUNA. 



Our mission was to infuse traditional Chinese festivals with captivating concepts, bringing emotional value to the public. Drawing inspiration from timeless tales such as Chang'e's lunar journey, we embarked on a journey of innovation.



Partnering with Walkart, BAY de LUNA echoed the spirit of reunion during the Mid-Autumn Festival with a unique artistic expression. Exploring the intricate emotional connections between humans and animals, we used cats as inspiration to create interactive scenes that resonated deeply with the audience. We envisioned these connections as delicate "relationship lines," with each scene portraying different cat forms symbolizing the profound relationships and emotional bonds between humans and their furry companions in modern life, aiming to evoke strong emotional responses.



"LUNA," deriving from the traditional Chinese festival Lunar New Year and representing the moon goddess in Roman mythology, served as a perfect symbol for the Mid-Autumn Festival. Imagining LUNA wandering through the city, we adorned SHENZHENBAY MIXC with different LUNA displays. BAY de LUNA transcended mere art exhibitions; it became a vibrant public spectacle where LUNA displays linked various spaces within SHENZHENBAY MIXC, weaving a compelling narrative. The public became integral participants, free to explore at their leisure.



Using innovative materials like resin fiber, we meticulously deconstructed cat structures to emphasize their uniqueness. Using resin fiber to portray fur, we brought our feline companions to life, evoking empathy and sparking imagination in all who beheld them. Through this, we aimed to deepen our connection with the world around us and celebrate the bonds that unite us.



BAY de LUNA exemplifies the seamless integration of art, commerce, and urban life, marking a successful venture into sustainable artistic IP in commercial spaces.
