Based on the enterprise positioning and future-oriented strategic adjustments, Patton CMC has acquired the Suzhou headquarters in Phase 1 of the Rice Internet Industrial Park in Shuzhou. The new office needs to meet design and development requirements, corporate image, and business scenario displays. Balancing space efficiency and human experience will be crucial.
Firstly, starting from the perspective of architecture and functional requirements, we have reorganized the spatial order. The overall space can be divided into three sections: the reception and exhibition area, the research and development office area, and the executive office area.
The 4-meter-long reception desk is geometrically connected to the structural column, creating a sense of visual unity and extension, cleverly resolving the awkwardness of the entrance being adjacent to a column in the original building.
Considering the limitations of the inherent spatial conditions, we have placed a curved glass at the corner to extend the line of sight as much as possible and introduce natural light, creating a connection between spaces and between indoor and outdoor environments.
The inner space, divided by the reception desk, forms a four-sided enclosed structure, showcasing Patton's corporate philosophy and the enterprise cloud command center. The display wall features softened corners and flowing elements, resembling an unfolded scroll or rolling clouds, creating a dynamic visual experience.
The executive 's office offers a great view of East Taihu Lake. The removal of heavy glass panels provides a panoramic "window" to observe the water and changing sky. The floor tiles simulate cloud texture, adding an ever-changing ambiance.
Considering the chairman's short time in the office and the focus on customer reception, a bar counter is set up for convenience.
The office area is divided based on employee and manager functions, providing flexible space for departmental adjustments. The layout facilitates efficient communication and collaboration, breaking barriers between research and development positions. Overall, the Suzhou headquarters combines functional needs with architectural perspectives. It balances spatial organization with design, development, and scenario requirements, creating a dynamic and efficient workspace for Patton CMC.
