Create a logo for Curating and the Commons, a public curatorial conference produced by Independent Curators International (ICI) in partnership with EXPO Chicago at Navy Pier on April 11th and 12th, 2024.



process and solution: Drawing inspiration from the concept of an "enclosure," the logo emphasizes the letter "C," visually representing the theme of Curating and the Commons. These lines create distinct sections, representing the spaces within the enclosure. The bold, simple design ensures the logo remains versatile across various media, from header images to program guides.



This distinctive visual identity enhanced signage, header images, program guides, and the conference presentation booth, as well as other communication touchpoints. Additionally, a tote bag featuring the logo provided participants with a memorable keepsake, encapsulating the inspiring ideas and discussions shared during the conference. The cohesive design not only unified the conference materials but also left a lasting impression, serving as a symbol of the collaborative spirit and innovative concepts presented at Curating and the Commons.
