Yangshuo Jiurang Hotel

The overall design of the hotel is centered on the concept and characteristics of "elegant residence", combining cultural aesthetics with local natural customs. The hotel is located on the high hill of Yangshuo, looking east at the sunset of the East Ridge, one of the "Eight Scenic Spots of Yangshuo", and west of the Lijiang River, a vacation backyard that returns to its original source is constructed in the the lush and pristine mountain forest. The entrance of the hotel is placed in the wind and rain corridor, lightweight steel structure constructs a sense of ceremony, the wall and the roof are only enclosed, a barrier and a guide to indicate the direction of the invitation, the osmanthus tree in the courtyard moves with the wind and the shadow, which is very lovely. In the white walls and black tiles as if ink painting, the entrance is shrouded in black stones and water vapor, creating a fairy like atmosphere. The entrance corridor progresses step by step, and the courtyard has a delicate layout. Into the lobby of the overall presentation of the Chinese style of elegance, the space is based on black and white tones, from the wall to the furniture, the original wood texture wrapped around the entire space, but also to create a sense of simplicity and sophistication. The minimalist and blank design approach, emphasizing the purity of spatial materials; many areas of the original stone, stone, wood carvings and floral arrangements are also exquisite use, so that people can't help but be immersed in it, establishing an intimate dialogue with the present moment to extend deeper levels of texture. The hotel also features a number of art installations, such as the fog ring in the meditation area called "Dance with Light and Fog" and the moon installation on the top floor's observation deck (based on a scaled-down replica of the "Lunar Museum" created by British artist Luke Jerram), both of which are extremely popular, attracting guests to come here to take a souvenir of their visit.
