This commercial sales and exhibition venue is situated in Nanjing, China, a city reputed as the ancient capital of the Six Dynasties, abundant in historical and cultural significance. The design of the space embodies a public house concept that deeply integrates local culture, and some design techniques are employed to reflect the time-honored history and cultural essence of Nanjing. This approach allows visitors to appreciate modern luxury and immerse themselves in a vibrant cultural atmosphere and historical legacy.
Upon entering, the striking ceiling art installation known as “Flying Flower Ritual” readily captures attention. In the reception area, the combination of leather-faced stone, grooved stone, and translucent marble exemplifies the luxury and elegance of the clubhouse. The incorporation of the wrought Nanjing gold foil technique evokes the lively spirit of the ancient capital. The lighting fixtures reinterpret traditional lanterns through modern techniques, and blend classic elements with modern design aesthetics. The vermeil rotating staircase, inspired by the red hue of Nanjing's ancient city wall, not only accentuates the noble character but also symbolizes heritage and continuity. The pillars convey a sense of solemnity and grandeur, and harmonize with the vermilion color of the staircase, which are perceived as dignified and orderly.
The design of the water bar, serving as a hub for exchanges, draws inspiration from the intricate Nanjing paper-cutting art, featuring exquisite patterns that symbolize the continuous flow of wealth generated by water.
The clubhouse integrates aspects of Nanjing Baiju, a traditional form of Chinese opera, and an intangible cultural heritage originating from Nanjing, China. Through various activities such as illustrations, incense burning, utensil crafting, listening to the rain, and enjoying tea, the refined lifestyle of Nanjing residents is vividly recreated, enabling guests to relish life and immersing themselves in the distinctive allure of Nanjing's traditional culture. The Jinling Fun Talk Zone is centered around the lifestyle associated with Nanjing Baiju, giving guests with an opportunity to appreciate the essence and character of this cultural aspect in a serene and enjoyable atmosphere.
