About The Entry

HOOP, a children's Helicobacter pylori test device, is tailored for preschool children undergoing Hp testing in kindergartens. Its gamified process boosts children's compliance during testing.

In China, with over 50% of preschoolers affected by Helicobacter pylori, regular testing is essential without relying on antibiotics. The standard breath test's need for steady exhalation poses a challenge for young kids, and frequent clinic visits can be burdensome for parents, potentially heightening children's resistance.

HOOP enhances the medical testing experience by guiding children to breathe steadily through an interactive game, ensuring accuracy and enjoyment with post-test sticker rewards. It also integrates gamification to boost engagement and compliance, offering a parental online platform for real-time health monitoring that supports family-focused health management and contributes to improved national health standards.
