Athens, Europe’s hottest capital, faces growing challenges such as extreme weather, poor air quality, and urban congestion, all of which threaten residents’ quality of life. In response, a green and ecological transformation is urgently needed to make the city more livable and sustainable.



SymbioAthens introduces an innovative urban development model centered on the concept of “symbiosis,” promoting harmony among humanity, nature, and the built environment. By integrating plant, animal, and human systems, the project employs comprehensive design strategies to foster community balance. Sunlight is harnessed as a primary resource for energy production, food cultivation, and environmental enhancement, redefining urban living with a sustainable ecosystem where innovation and nature coexist seamlessly.



Inspired by ancient Greek architecture, the design blends historical and modern elements, featuring natural tones and green accents to create a welcoming atmosphere. Functionally, the project follows principles of vertical stratification, spatial differentiation, and ecological integration. It features zones for retail, green spaces, offices, residences, and rooftop farming with sustainable facilities, addressing diverse user needs. Advanced safety systems and structural resilience ensure reliability against earthquakes and wind.



By incorporating eco-friendly materials, SymbioAthens enhances sustainability and environmental performance, making it a forward-thinking solution for a greener and more intelligent urban future.
