About The Entry

Situated in Wuxi, China, this project is envisioned as an exclusive cultural club that embodies a luxurious and discreet style. The design team tried to evoke a distinctive oriental ritualistic ambiance through the overall spatial arrangement.

To design the front lobby, the object was to amplify the sense of order and ceremony and keep area wide open. This was achieved by enhancing the spatial sequence through the strategic placement of decorative wall lamps and molding walls. The reception area features a backdrop of artisticlaminated glass which permits the passage of natural light, fostering an emotion experience associated with misty poetry. The overall design incorporates harmonious combinations of various materials and textures, contributing to an aesthetic sense of order and establishing a sense of hierarchy within the space.

The installation placed at the entrance is inspired by the jade pendant patterns of the local Wu culture and the elegant form of an egret. This concept captures the essence of luminous reflections and the fluidity of water, symbolizing the boundless possibilities of life. At the heart of the relaxation area, a sculptural piano reconciled with floral artistry elevates the atmosphere of reverence. The design team reshaped the piano to enhance its artistic appeal. Standing by the window, it evokes a romantic and harmonious scene, complemented by the gentle melodies produced automatically by the piano and the influx of natural light.

In the swimming pool area, the design team is privileged to have obtained authorization from modern Chinese artist Mr. Liao Yuan to reinterpret his artwork “River Map 1808” through the technique of mosaic inlays. This design seamlessly incorporates art into the environment, transforming a two-dimensional painting into a dynamic three-dimensional feature within the pool. The water reflects a vibrant, mottled effect, fostering an ethereal atmosphere. Here, traditional cultural elements are skillfully blended with modern design language, imbuing the regional space with deep cultural significance and striking visual appeal.
