About The Entry

"Kaixuan Green Trees" is a two-story social housing project. Located in the center of the city, it aims to serve diverse residents through its social and shared spaces, thereby enhancing the surrounding cityscape and renewing the impression of the city. The project is centered on the needs of the occupants and the forward-looking planning of the site.

For the occupants, the project draws on the design principles of Dutch social housing, emphasizing the connection with the environment and the care for people. The canopy and atrium garden redefine the relationship between private, public, and shared spaces, shaping a high-quality social space. In this way, the home can be extended into the community's shared space, allowing the reading room, children's playground, and shared kitchens to become "places to live". The scale of the home extends into the community space, allowing residents to have an affordable yet quality life. The upper floors extend into a semi-outdoor terrace that serves as the sky garden and social area for residents. At the same time, the sprawling greenery significantly enhances the experience of walking along the surrounding green corridors and diversifies the urban landscape.
