About The Entry

The 23rd Hsinchu Art Exhibition was held from January 15 to February 23, 2025, at the Hsinchu 241 Art Space. This annual event showcased 112 selected works by both established and emerging artists from the region, presenting a diverse range of artistic expressions and thematic explorations.

Organized by the Cultural Affairs Bureau of Hsinchu City, the exhibition featured artworks across seven major categories: calligraphy, ink painting, gouache, oil painting, watercolor, photography, and mixed media, including glass art. Visitors enjoyed a vibrant collection of subjects, including landscapes, portraits, surrealism, abstraction, animals, and traditional culture.

This year’s main visual design drew inspiration from Hsinchu’s renowned glass craftsmanship. Incorporating elements of glass cutting and color techniques, the design paid tribute to the city’s rich artistic heritage. Participating artists represented three generations—senior, mid-career, and emerging talents—many of whom explored themes of life, memory, and cultural heritage in their work.

The visual concept also featured imagery of blooming flowers, symbolizing vitality, creativity, and the flourishing nature of life—an apt reflection of the exhibition’s spirit.
