"A four-leaf clover is considered a symbol of good luck. The odds of finding a four-leaf clover are estimated to be around 1 in 5,000 to 1 in 10,000”
Much like a four-leaf clover, this coffee table pairing is a rare find. Lucky Four is crafted from African Bubinga (Guibourtia coleosperma) and African Padauk (Pterocarpus soyauxii).
Though often mistaken for the same species, these two hardwoods exhibit distinctly different tonal and textural qualities—yet they coexist in perfect harmony.
The wood grain forms a distinct cross-shaped pattern, gracefully radiating outward from the center of the tabletop, evoking the gentle growth of plant leaves. The base, also designed in a cross-shaped structure, subtly extends beyond the tabletop when viewed from above, reminiscent of the stem of a four-leaf clover.
These two types of wood are very similar in color, yet their grain patterns are very different. From a distance, they may appear to be the same species, but a closer look reveals a uniquely different “leaf” subtly grew among the other three.
Whether it’s a four-leaf clover no larger than a thumb, or a centuries-old tree that stretches beyond sight, each is a wondrous creation of nature—rich with mystery, diversity, and rare beauty.
If we take a moment to closely observe the world around us, nature will unveil unexpected beauty and delight in even the simplest things. Isn’t that truly fortunate?
May this coffee table bring you, a bit of luck along the journey.
