Ballard & Fant

Ballard & Fant is a beauty bar designed for a high-profile public who wants to revamp their well-being and self-image. Alongside the beauty services dedicated to face, hand and foot care, it is a beauty centre offering a cocktail bar/cafeteria service through an incorporated area.

It is a hybrid hospitality space bringing together two activities that are usually separate and have different rules and regulations. Moreover, it is a space where attention has been paid to hospitality by creating different types of environments.



The project moves towards the new trend of the contamination of functions. Here the aim is to make two realities coexist without one foreclosing on the other, carefully balancing the interactions and the uses of the areas.



As expected of a concept store deeply rooted in the contemporary world, the space does not address a distinct gender audience but a 'fluid' public, becoming a value in the current context and guided the strategy in the definition phases of the CMF, concerning a skilful selection of colours, materials and finishes. The intention in developing the aesthetic context of the space was to create suggestions of a harmonious contrast between opposites, where warm tones alternate cool tones in a perfect balance. Similarly, the surfaces, furnishings and decorative elements play between curvy lines meeting stricter geometries.



As an absolute newcomer in the Milanese scenario, the project drives towards the trend of contamination of functions within the same architectural volume.
