At This Moment

On the occasion of the 10th anniversary of HEFEI MIXC in September 2025, inspired by "Fish in the Sky, Water on the Ground," we aim to create a public art feast titled "At This Moment."

As an art installation designed to activate public space, it carries the city's memories and emotions, subtly infuses the cultural context of Huizhou, and generates widespread "check-in" appeal.

This project collaborates with the walkart art institution, using the scale pattern—a visual representation of Huizhou's local culture—as the foundation. With urban memory and emotional resonance as the starting point, we materialize the relationship between time and space, creating a series of "resonant fields" that connect the past and the present. Through spatial translation, we reinterpret the forms of Huizhou architecture, the patterns of swaying fish, and the outlines of courtyards defined by wooden colonnades into fragments of time and space. These fragments break the boundaries of time and space, stirring a resonance of time, space, and emotion—a "Harmonious Union of Heaven and Humanity," reflecting the decade-long development of MixC Hefei. This offers the public a sense of memory and resonance.

The art installation reinterprets the structure of Huizhou architecture with lightweight wooden frameworks; the subtlety of fabrics and the interplay of light and shadows create a poetic effect of visual dislocation; the dynamic beauty of leaping fish is captured, enhancing the audience's sense of immersion and imagination. They are no longer mere observers but participants in a dialogue across time and space, actively exploring and traversing.

"At This Moment" is a successful attempt at the artistic translation of urban memory, bringing traditional culture, commercial space, and city life into closer integration.
