Aurora

Aurora is a bespoke private club designed as an intimate retreat for hosting close friends. It reflects the owner’s discerning taste while offering a highly personalized and secluded atmosphere.

Centered around a dramatic floor-to-ceiling glass curtain wall, the design preserves expansive outdoor views while introducing an adaptable lighting system. Inspired by the ever-shifting aurora borealis, programmable light strips transform the ambiance, allowing the space to evolve according to different occasions and times of the day. The interior is organized into a conference area and a media room, separated by translucent materials that blur boundaries and maintain visual continuity. This open yet defined layout supports both focused gatherings and relaxed interaction. Beginning with a raw shell, the project has solved multiple challenges in spatial planning and uncertain usage needs. The design prioritizes flexibility, incorporating thoughtful functional zoning to adapt to real-word needs. A curated selection of specialty paints and metallic surfaces creates an immersive, almost surreal environment, enhancing the otherworldly character of the space.

Sustainable choices include the use of eco-friendly materials and a strong emphasis on natural light, reducing energy consumption while strengthening the connection to the outdoors.
