The 2025 Starry Taitung event celebrates the pristine night sky, guiding travelers through scenic valleys, coastlines, and fields. Since its inception in 2018, the event has evolved to offer a combination of stargazing tours, musical performances, and local cultural displays, creating a truly immersive nocturnal experience. The stage embraces the concept of “Nature as Stage,” using Taitung’s mountains and sea as a backdrop framed by a large-scale picture frame. Its minimalist design features low-intervention, modular wooden structures that can be easily dismantled for touring, helping to reduce waste. The lighting is subtle and eco-friendly, utilizing solar lamps to preserve the beauty of the night sky. Through multisensory engagement—incorporating sight, sound, and touch—audiences can either sit on the ground or lean against straw bales while enjoying music under the stars, fully immersing themselves in the natural and cultural allure of Taitung nights.
