Gleaming Fragments

The color palette centers on the homeowners' preferred milk-tea tones, creating a gentle and tranquil foundation. Dark wood grain accents echo the existing wood-textured tile staircase, grounding the soft, light-colored palette with a sense of stability. The khaki tones of the sofa backwall connect with the lacquered glass in the kitchen, establishing a continuous visual rhythm. Curved indirect strip lighting encircles the living room, providing a soft sense of envelopment. Layering light, shadow, and color creates a serene and comfortable atmosphere. In addition, a recessed curtain box design conceals the original beam within the false ceiling, thereby resolving structural constraints and creating a harmonious visual effect.

Tailored to the resident cats' movement needs, the design team used the U-shaped area under the staircase to integrate a closet, a robot vacuum cleaner station, and a pet feeding area. Installed cat shelves here to form a fluid vertical circulation path. The litter box area is intentionally positioned in a corner near the window, ensuring it stays dry and receives ample sunlight while maintaining smooth circulation and is undisturbed by the daily routine.

The builder's original design placed the TV wall in the U-shaped space in front of the stairs, with the sofa by the window. To meet the owners' needs, the design team flipped the configuration by rotating the TV and installing a 180cm-high island counter behind it. This integrated volume serves as a visual screen and extends an L-shaped kitchen circulation, creating a fluid culinary workspace for the home lady.

Employed low-formaldehyde modular boards paired with LED lighting systems for the entire home to effectively reduce indoor air pollutants and energy consumption, fulfilling environmental responsibilities at the source. The tiled kitchen island strikingly balances aesthetics and ease of cleaning. All surface materials are selected for their durability and low maintenance, significantly reducing long-term upkeep costs while preserving the space’s refined texture. These meticulous material choices focus on the essence of a healthy life and a comfortable environment for the occupants, achieving an ideal lifestyle of ease and freedom.
