About The Entry

The project involves a pre-owned apartment approximately 15 years old. The homeowners are entering a new stage of family life, preparing to welcome a child. From the outset, they expressed a desire for a space that embodies a neutral and gentle atmosphere while ensuring safety conditions suitable for future childcare.

Rather than adopting a strongly gender-oriented style, the design centers on a sense of enclosure, rounded lines, and abundant natural light. The property benefits from an undeveloped green area at the rear, offering pleasant views from the living room and balcony. Natural daylight and ventilation therefore became key advantages of the site, which the design team further enhanced through a comprehensive reconfiguration of the entire layout.

Upon entering the interior, the curved enclosure design of the foyer immediately captures attention. The designer intentionally avoided allowing direct sightlines into the living or dining areas upon opening the door. Instead, curved walls and layered openings create transitions and visual buffering, turning the act of returning home into a gradual process of unwinding.

Within the social area, a streamlined ceiling light strip extends from the living room into the private corridor, serving as a visual thread that connects the entire home. Along this luminous curve, multiple concealed doors are integrated into a single wall plane. Entrances to the master bedroom, secondary bedroom, and child’s room are hidden within this unified surface, maintaining visual clarity and intuitive circulation.

The bathrooms present another highlight. The master bathroom features a one-piece cast marble bathtub reminiscent of a hot spring, paired with imported Japanese sanitary fittings, reflecting the homeowners’ emphasis on quality of life. Existing tiles were preserved and resurfaced with artistic cement coating, retaining structural elements while refreshing material expression.
