Guided by the core concept of "Modern Metropolis, Hidden Hangzhou Garden," this project draws inspiration from the Waldorf Astoria in Shanghai's Qiantan district. It aims to create a high-end community landscape that seamlessly blends luxurious texture with natural poetry.
The design features an oversized, luxurious entrance utilizing Moonlight Beige stone, Andes Snow View luxury stone, translucent glazed glass, and red luxury stone. Combined with a hotel-style island drop-off zone, it creates a dignified and ceremonial homecoming experience, facilitating a transition from the urban hustle to a serene sanctuary.
The central landscape area is traversed by a semi-enclosed, curved gallery that runs through the front courtyard water feature, blurring the boundaries between space and nature. More than just a passageway, this gallery serves as a connector between art, nature, and the inner self. Standing silently in the center of the water courtyard is Tide Surging, Flowers Blooming, a sculpture by master artist Wang Congyi. Inspired by the tides of the Qiantang River, the piece presents flowing iridescence in the light and shadow, condensing the power of nature into an artistic language.
The floating island water garden creates a tranquil yet dynamic water-friendly space through elements such as cascading water, stepping stones, and suspended seating. The patterns on the seating are derived from the rib symbols of traditional Hangzhou oil-paper umbrellas, fused with modern-colored soft furnishings to imbue the site with refined modernity and local cultural connotations.
The rear infinity pool area employs a "disappearing boundary" design, seamlessly connecting the water surface with the distant landscape. Combined with a seating area situated below the pool level, it forms a resort-style retreat that offers both a sense of security and an expansive view. Through techniques of layering, suspension, and staggering, the overall design allows the landscape to grow freely, extending the home into a boundless resort oasis, making "coming home feels like a vacation" a part of daily life.
