DREAM SHRINE is a VR narrative puzzle game set in a new world dominated by intense mental control. Players take on the role of an “Awakened One” , navigating a dual narrative of reality and dreams to collect consciousness fragments, solve symbolic puzzles, and break free from mental control. The project’s core innovation lies in its seamless integration of theme, narrative, setting, and interaction: progressive environments mirror the player’s journey of awakening, from an oppressive real-world study to a dream forest, cave ruins, and the sanctuary altar; VR-native gesture mechanics embed puzzle-solving directly into the narrative, making every fragment collection and ritual action a tangible expression of "breaking free from shackles and reconstructing the self". Furthermore, the project comprehensively covers the entire development process—from initial world-building and research analysis, through mid-development scene art and interaction design, to the final polishing of the narrative—demonstrating comprehensive capabilities in VR game design. Ultimately, it transforms the abstract concept of "spiritual freedom" into an interactive work that merges artistic expression with immersive gameplay.
