About The Entry

MAZE is a gamified psychological screening medium designed specifically for urban migrant children. It subverts the dry narrative of traditional psychometric scales, establishing a core logic of "Decision as Diagnosis." By recording children's behavioral trajectories and social collaborations during a physical maze exploration, the system provides early warnings for mental health risks and social integration challenges.

The work constructs a dual spiritual landscape of "The Desert" and "The Ocean." This conceptual design delves into the "Desert" chapter, externalizing the deprivation and anxiety migrant children face in the city into a vast, unknown wasteland. By artfully embedding Egyptian mythological motifs of "Judgment, Guidance, and Rebirth" into the level design, the project reconstructs the "mental map" of this marginalized group. It is more than a visual creation of game scenes; it is a profound translation and humanistic response to the profound sense of alienation and weightlessness inherent in these children's inner worlds.
