Rooted in Zhengzhou’s profound Central Plains cultural heritage and guided by sustainable design principles, the project merges ritual aesthetics of ancient Central Plains vessels with the intricate floral textures typical of Shanghai-style design, creating a communal space that balances local heritage and refined contemporary living.
Framed under the design theme Splendid Florals Inherit Ritual Vessel Craft, Ceremonial Path Leads into Courtyard, the community entrance features an extended facade reviving the old-town ambiance. Column detailing draws the graceful floral aesthetics of classic Shanghai styles, while curved silhouettes sourced from antique Central Plains ritual vessels lend flowing streamlined forms to the architecture. The site follows the traditional Chinese double-courtyard layout: cascading water features soften hard boundaries in the forecourt, and wide overhanging roofs form covered transitional greeting spaces in the inner courtyard, easing the divide between buildings and landscape via progressive spatial layers. Moon Cream stone and Tiger Jade luxury stone are specified alongside recessed soft ambient lighting, cutting energy consumption while crafting a tranquil retreat away from urban bustle.
As the focal centerpiece of the three-sequence homecoming courtyard, the Floral Round Pavilion carries forward the refined Shanghai design language. Shaped after clustered Shanghai floral blooms, its layered horizontal lines mimic unfolding blossoms. Curved circular eaves echo the entrance columns to complete the ceremonial homecoming sequence. Warm stone embedded with ambient strip lighting glimmers like glowing flower cores after dark, with water reflections deepening courtyard depth and blending modern Shanghai elegance with serene Chinese pastoral charm.
Constrained by limited land area, the supporting amenities adopt compact, lifecycle-oriented planning to maximize space efficiency. Indoor amenities integrate library lounge, café and leisure rooms for neighborhood interaction and multi-age relaxation; outdoor spaces include a full-size basketball court and dedicated pet playground. The underground area is innovatively upgraded into a landscaped parking garage that accommodates guest reception, entertainment and pet activities. Meticulous space planning delivers comprehensive all-age living functions on a compact site, enabling harmonious coexistence of architecture, nature and local culture.
