Set within the New Forest in Hampshire, this Georgian-style manor house was conceived as a complete interior architecture and design project for a substantial new-build private residence of more than 15,000 sq ft.
Dream Design was appointed to develop the interiors in close collaboration with the architect, allowing the architecture and interior design to evolve together from the early stages of the project. This approach ensured that spatial planning, room-to-room flow, lighting, materials, furniture and detailed specification were considered as one coherent whole.
The client wanted a home with presence, elegance and comfort: a country manor that felt impressive without becoming overly formal. Dream Design responded with interiors that balance classical architectural language with a softer, more contemporary way of living.
Throughout the house, proportion, material continuity and calm detailing create a composed sense of connection from one room to the next. The kitchen, designed with SieMatic cabinetry, has a clean architectural presence, with integrated storage, refined material rhythm and a bespoke ceiling detail with concealed lighting. Across the wider home, bathrooms, living spaces, bedrooms, lighting, furniture and one-of-a-kind pieces were selected and resolved to support the same feeling of quiet permanence.
A key part of the project’s character lies in the way traditional and contemporary elements are brought together. Classical proportions and architectural detailing give the home gravitas, while the interiors introduce warmth, restraint and comfort for modern family life.
The result is a timeless private residence with scale, elegance and clarity: a complete home shaped by architecture, craftsmanship and careful interior judgement.
