Tujia Brocade is one of China's national intangible cultural heritages with a long history. The patterns in Tujia Brocade are simple yet exaggerated, combining realism and abstraction, and are full of vitality.

The design transforms the Taoist Yin-Yang cultural philosophy into an artistic form, depicting the constant interaction between Yin and Yan. The peaks and ridges of Zhangjiajie's landscape are used to invert the concept of Yin and Yang, with the sky hanging above representing the solid, and the boundary between heaven and earth formed by the layered mountain ranges creating a virtual mountain skyline. This transforms the solid and continuous mountain peaks into the virtual, guiding people into the "mountain" to explore its hidden beauty.

Using the self-similarity concept of fractal geometry and the principles of projection geometry, the geometric patterns of the previous layer are projected onto adjacent planes, creating a decreasing hierarchy. Starting from the first layer where the space is larger than the solid, it gradually iterates into a solid two-dimensional plane. Looking at the entire facade from a fractal perspective, it becomes a thick two-dimensional spatial form.

From the perspective of modern microphysics, the novel organization and aggregation of materials constitute a "new phase of matter" - a new architectural texture. The facade is given a new artistic effect using the technique of "architectural phase", with metal perforated panels with a gradient pattern derived from a highly abstract interpretation of Tujia Brocade. The top is designed with square beams, with metal brocade hanging from it, resembling the beautiful Tujia Brocade, layered and displayed on the loom.

The courtyard space is a characteristic essence of Xiangxi architecture. The Brocade Museum combines the local natural environment to create a courtyard layout - the Brocade Courtyard, which effectively avoids direct sunlight and significantly improves heat insulation and ventilation.
