Located in the Wanshan Marine Development Experimental Zone, Dangan Town, Zhuhai City, Guangdong Province, China, the project enjoys a prime location on Weilingding Island. With a view of Hong Kong Island to the north and facing the South China Sea to the south, the island boasts abundant marine landscape resources. Weilingding Island stands out in the Wanshan Archipelago for its small yet picturesque size, featuring clear seawater and unique rocky landscapes.
Situated on the southern side of the island, the project is adjacent to Tianxiang South Road on the north, an important circular island tourist route, while the south side offers vast sea views. Below the parcel, the project is connected to the Guanlan Path, linking to the sea-view station and ferry terminal, providing an excellent geographical location.
The project aims to break the homogenization trend in the Chinese resort hotel market by customizing a high-end island resort hotel following the laws of the natural environment and embodying Eastern Zen aesthetics for upscale clientele, young groups, and families. It aims to lead the luxury boutique resort hotel market in the Greater Bay Area and promote Zhuhai as a high-end tourist resort area featuring island resort hotels.
The design concept revolves around the core theme of "returning to nature and integrating with nature," emphasizing the harmonious coexistence of architecture and the environment. The overall architecture adopts a modern minimalist approach, showcasing simplicity, naturalness, and artistic characteristics, based on Eastern Zen aesthetics. It reconstructs poetic spaces, creating a serene and luxurious atmosphere with an Eastern temperament. The integrated design of indoor and outdoor spaces ensures a minimalist quality from the inside out.
The uniqueness of the site has inspired a personalized design language to shape the distinctive character of the architecture. By fully incorporating natural elements found on the island, such as red coral from the seabed, granite reefs weathered by the South China Sea, and the resilient trees standing against the wind, these elements are integrated into the architectural design to blend the buildings with the island environment, becoming part of the island itself.
