When I stepped into this industrial wasteland, I was struck by the vast emptiness and the towering structures around me. Dominating the landscape was the PECO building—a former powerhouse that once supplied light and electricity to the entire city. It stood as a symbol of Philadelphia's pride and progress, now waiting for the new prosper.

With the shift toward clean energy, traditional methods of energy production have begun to fade. Philadelphia aims to be powered by 100% clean energy by 2035—a bold goal still far from today's reality.

I envisioned a renewed role for this post-industrial site: a modern energy hub. This place harnesses energy not from coal and fumes but from the overlooked remnants of our urban environment. This new energy container would gather power from industry residuals, fallen leaves, discarded materials, bird droppings, water waves, and wind.

It’s a place where people can feel the intersection of industry and nature while learning how everyday elements can be transformed into energy sources.
