Lakewave Solar Canopy is a lakeside lounge structure inspired by the natural silhouettes of water and birds. The roof's curves look like the ripples on the water surface, responding to the natural context at the tranquil lakeside. The curved structure imparts a sense of dynamic vitality to the space, allowing occupants to experience the fluidity and unity of the surroundings in and out of the building. The innovative and futuristic architectural elements redefine the social and sensory interactions at the lakeside.

The exterior design features a wavy roof complemented by a streamlined mesh shell structure that reflects the natural waves of the lake through its dynamic free-form surfaces.

The roof is covered with PV modules that integrate power generation with the building structure. These modules are coated with a highly reflective material, enhancing light harvesting efficiency and minimizing heat accumulation, thereby optimizing the energy performance of the building. When illuminated by sunlight, the PV panels create shifting patterns of light and shadow that infuse the structure with a sense of technological advancement and ecological awareness.

The design of the facade, featuring a translucent curtain wall, diminishes the perceived sense of boundary between the interior and exterior spaces to the extent possible. The incorporation of highly reflective materials within the translucent curtain wall allows the building to be illuminated by natural light throughout the day, and produce captivating light reflection effects at night, delivering a visual experience that varies drastically between day and night.

The overall form of the building is characterized by a lightweight structure, constructed from hollow section steel that is treated with a corrosion-resistant coating. This ensures both structural integrity and resilience against the high humidity typical of lakeside environments. Furthermore, the steel surface is selectively coated with a highly reflective finish to enhance solar radiation absorption and improve energy efficiency. Aesthetically, the combination of the lightweight design and reflective coating renders the building nearly imperceptible within its surroundings, creating a distinctive image as if it were floating on the lake.
