The Haier (Wuxi) iot Ecological Network Demonstration Base is situated in the core area of the Southern Jiangsu Independent Innovation Demonstration Zone. We envision Haiguanzhigu Technology Park as a place to document the passage of time, capturing the city’s development and transformation. It is a space where everyone can not only experience innovative design but also feel the unique charm of Wuxi. The design draws inspiration from Wuxi’s historical and cultural heritage as well as its modern development, encapsulating the concept of “Recalling the Past, Reflecting the Present, Envisioning the Future.” With a narrative thread of "Memory–Continuity–Transition–Fusion," the design invites participants to embark on a journey through the city’s evolving story. The design retains the original site’s ecological features, incorporating natural growth patterns into the landscape. Existing water systems and pine forests are preserved, allowing nature to seamlessly coexist with the city. Paying homage to Wuxi’s historic textile industry, the design employs sculptural weaving and sequential patterns to create dynamic, flowing elements that integrate the spirit of traditional crafts into the modern era. Illuminated mist and dynamic light effects enhance the interactive experience of the installations at night. The design features three circular platforms symbolizing the interconnectedness of all things and the infinite evolution of wisdom, technology, and aspirations for a better life. A suspended bridge connects two circular platforms, leading to the main building—both narrating history and guiding visitors toward the future. A grass-stepped amphitheater below creates a cohesive green core for the park. At its center, the "Technology Ring" acts as a symbolic focal point, transforming memory into a tangible landmark and a new icon.At night, holographic projections on the circular platforms tell the story of Wuxi’s rich culture. A small pine forest and a set of "spiral rings" form the core elements of this design. By preserving the existing pine trees and allowing visitors to freely explore beneath them, the design bridges the visual gap between the pines and the park’s small hills. The spiral rings weave through the trees, creating a sense of convergence, drawing energy and visitors, and leaving a memorable visual and spatial experience.
