Located in Beijing’s Economic-Technological Development Area, the Beijing Yizhuang Cell Therapy R&D and Pilot Base is China’s largest cell therapy industrial park. The landscape design seeks to establish a structured spatial order while fostering an innovative and dynamic ecological system. Inspired by cellular morphology, the design concept revolves around the central service hub as the "source point," extending vertically and horizontally to form a multi-dimensional green landscape.
The landscape integrates various functional zones, including sunken courtyards, ground-level plazas, dynamic corridors, and rooftop terraces, creating a layered ecological network. These interconnected spaces promote seamless interaction, enhance accessibility, and encourage collaboration among researchers and professionals. The design harmonizes order with vibrancy, supporting a sustainable and engaging work environment.
With the guiding principle of "Boundless Ecology, Unhindered Communication, and Infinite Interaction," the project transforms the research base into an innovative industrial park where work and leisure coexist. By prioritizing green infrastructure and integrating natural elements, the landscape fosters a sense of openness and connectivity. Thoughtful details such as shaded walkways, lush planting areas, and communal gathering spaces enhance the overall experience, ensuring that the environment supports both productivity and well-being.
Ultimately, the project redefines industrial park landscapes by merging ecological sustainability with functional efficiency, setting a new standard for future biomedical research facilities.
