A warm house carrying the imagination of home attached with emotions. In the miniature space with river view, we use a winding river image to signify design concepts to connect interior and exterior spaces.

Through the streamlined approach, from the curved bedroom steps, TV cabinets, to the ceiling, and the twisted and turned façade, childhood memories of the inhabitants along the Keelung River are integrated into the house.

The bedroom couch next to large windows seems like wandering in the forest with gentle breeze and little streams, the design returns daily life to the purest simplicity.

Main building materials used in the whole resident are natural materials, which have less impact for the environment and are less destructive. We chose Japanese cypress veneer, solid wood grilles, and woven door panels; in particular, using Gui Algae Soil, which is a coating that can regulate the air humidity and absorbs the moisture on the main wall and in the shoe cabinet.

Not only are the natural materials echo the main concept, but the workmanship also pursues natural approaches, such as using a swirling knife to create a hand-wiped texture, dedicating efforts to create the river view, integrating light and shadow, to inject a lively and natural sense of the earth into this limited space.
