Background: Kids' resistance to medication is a widespread issue caused by swallowing difficulty, bad taste, cognitive impairment, psychological fear, and adverse reactions. Studies show that 70% of kids refuse to take medication, which can result in prolonged illness, increased stress for parents and decreased trust in medical advice, creating tension between doctors and families. To improve this phenomenon, we found a study showing that there is a natural curiosity between children and animals that attracts children's attention and stimulates a desire to explore. Therefore, we redesigned the package of the medicine and incorporated animal shape and puzzle games that have interesting interactions that attracting kids.

Design brief: This is a design that incorporated puzzle games and animal shape, making them less resistant to taking medication. A pills board have four pills, each pills corresponds to a puzzle piece, all the puzzles on the same board put together can create a cute, 3D animal puzzle. Parents can make a deal with their kids: for every pill they take, they get puzzle piece. This reward system helps to enhance kids' medication experience, especially in the treatment of some diseases that require long-term medication, effectively reducing family stress and building positive associations with the treatment process.

How it Works: 1. Separate: Parents break off one single package in the shape of a puzzle piece containing a pill. 2. Take: Parents peel off the puzzle, tear off the aluminum and give child the pill. 3. Collect: For each pill the kid takes, he may get a piece of the puzzle and collect it. 4. Finish: Upon completing the puzzle, the kid receives a little animal figure.

Outer Package Design: The outer packaging also incorporates playful illustrations and engaging visuals to appeal to children. The outer packaging can be opened as easily as books, and the instructions that guide parents can be immediately noticed while opening. After completing the puzzle, the puzzles can be placed on folded outer packaging, as if a group of small animals living in a forest, giving people a sense of story.
