The Ritz-Carlton Resort AMAALA sits nestled amid the naturally preserved Red Sea coast in Saudi Arabia, known for its rich marine life. The resort’s identity revolves around replicating desert dunes against architectural amenities, allowing the landscape to gently take over and offer a seamless design that elevates the guest experience. The landscape is responsive to the architectural setting of the resort, as well as respecting the natural beauty of the coast, all while addressing the operator brief requirements. This design approach balances ecological sensitivity with exceptional guest experience to continue the high standard for ultra luxury tourism in the region.

Among its standout features is the zero-entry oasis pool, designed to mimic the serene and calming essence of the Red Sea, with an undulating dune-scape that leads guests into the refreshing waters off the coast. The Oasis pool transitions effortlessly from land to sea, offering guests a unique way to relax in an environment reminiscent of a natural lagoon where the tranquility of the desert and sea converge. Exposed aggregate paving, which complements the soft, golden hues of the surrounding sand dunes, creates a striking visual harmony that enhances the resort’s desert-meets-coast theme. The beachside landscape hosts a signature restaurant, watersports club, kids club, all-day dining, gymnasium with outdoor lap pool, spa with outdoor spa pool and garden and an adult pool-club, all carefully set around the oasis pool. Guest movement within the resort is predominantly by foot to accessibility standards, complimented by buggy options both internal and to the wider destinations.

Additionally, the resort offers a series of sports courts, catering to guests seeking an active yet serene retreat. Whether for tennis, basketball, pickle or paddle, these courts allow guests to enjoy sports in a stunning natural setting. Complementing these recreational areas is a sensory garden, designed to stimulate all five senses with a carefully curated selection of aromatic plants, calming textures and vibrant colors. This thoughtful integration of nature with luxury ensures that every corner of The Ritz-Carlton Resort offers a rich, immersive experience.
