Against the backdrop of the booming marathon culture, the XTEP 160X series unveils its seventh-generation revolution—a racing shoe that redefines the high performance of professional marathon gear through multidimensional innovations.
160X7.0 PRO draws inspiration from the ocean’s apex predator, sharks, and elite fighter jets. It features a streamlined shape with an angular design to minimize air resistance, resembling the aerodynamic form of top supercars. The bold contrast of vibrant orange and metallic silver creates a striking visual language, giving a sense of dynamism and speed; the introduction of graphic elements like racing stripes further reinforces the product’s competitive DNA.
In terms of performance, 160X7.0 PRO achieves three groundbreaking innovations. Firstly, the design team, by adopting AI algorithms to deeply learn runners’ gaits, has created a pixel-patterned anti-slip outsole. The density of the outsole’s patterns is meticulously optimized based on foot pressure distribution data to ensure a precise grip in lateral and longitudinal movements, which, coupled with a high-rigidity GT700 carbon fibre plate, delivers exceptional anti-torsion support to minimize the risk of ankle rolls. Secondly, the product boasts a widened forefoot area with an increased lateral curvature, and integrates a forward rolling design to facilitate a smooth and efficient transition from heel strike to toe-off. Thirdly, the exclusive XTEP FIT last, taking into account the foot shapes of millions of Chinese, guarantees a snug and comfortable fit during long-distance runs.
Additionally, the upper, made of the upgraded jacquard fabric, features unique square holes to strike a balance between breathability and strength. The combination of the XTEP ACE resilient midsole and the XTEP POWER propulsive carbon fiber plate forms a dual system for cushioning and propulsion. Notably, 160X7.0 PRO strictly adheres to the concept of sustainability, contributing to the green development of marathon gear: the midsole employs supercritical foaming technology to reduce the use of chemical agents; the whole product can be recycled, further easing environmental burden.
