Concept Overview

Awaken is a haute couture jewelry collection that merges the spiritual essence of Kesi—an ancient Chinese intangible cultural heritage silk-weaving craft—with contemporary design and traditional philosophy. It is a transformable series, ingeniously designed to be worn in 11 distinct forms. Each piece is more than an accessory; it is a tangible manifestation of life's journey, inviting the wearer into a profound state of consciousness about life, nature, and the self.

The name "Awaken" signifies an epiphany of life's truth and a yearning for love and beauty. It is born from a deep contemplation of the "butterfly effect": the understanding that every minute choice, emotion, and interaction ultimately shapes the course of our destiny. From the thousand interwoven threads, we see the web of causality; from the natural crystal, we perceive the sanctity of new life.

Design Philosophy

The Silver Weave Necklace: Hand-woven from over a thousand sterling silver rings, this necklace draws its soul from the Kesi tapestry technique. Each ring represents a juncture in life, which together weave the complete narrative of one's existence. The ten cascading silver tassels symbolize "perfect in every way", a traditional Chinese blessing for a life of consummate perfection and fulfillment.

The Pink Pearl Necklace: Strung with natural freshwater pink pearls, this piece features a "Genesis Egg" centerpiece—a natural geode that cradles a lustrous Akoya sea pearl. This motif captures the miracle of life's creation within nature, representing the very origin point of awakening.

The Black Pearl Bracelet: Composed of wild Tahitian baroque pearls and a matching geode, this bracelet serves as a counterpoint to the pink pearl necklace. It expresses the profound idea that awakening arises not only in light and brilliance, but also from the depths of darkness and tranquility.

The Butterfly Brooch: Crafted using the exquisite intangible cultural heritage technique of hand-embroidery and adorned with natural freshwater pearls, this brooch is a direct homage to the butterfly effect—a reminder that the faintest flutter of wings can change the world. The white pearls symbolize the pure, untainted source of life.
