In the context of the deep integration of the revitalization of underutilized built spaces—known in China as “stock space renewal”—the “JuXIN” Shared Creative Space Project in the Xinzhuang Industrial Zone reimagines traditional commercial logic through systematic design thinking. Positioned as a regional “Shared Creative Living Room,” the project’s core mission is to foster innovation in the commercial ecosystem through creative spatial design and a collaborative governance model involving government, business, and community.
The first thing visitors see upon entering JuXIN is a flowing display of purple lighting. This café area, called the XIN Species Energy Station, offers drinks that deliver surprises far beyond flavor. Even more exciting is the “Five Elements Mood Drinks” series, inspired by the traditional Chinese elements—metal, wood, water, fire, and earth—each representing a specific emotional state often felt in modern life.
This zone maximizes spatial flexibility. Tiered seating combined with an overhead projection system allows it to switch seamlessly between salon, theater, runway, and more. It serves as a corporate training venue during the day, a community screening room in the evening, and a pop-up brand showcase on weekends. This design, featuring “multiple scenarios within a single space”, not only reduces the idle rate caused by single-function usage but also keeps visitors coming back for the ever-changing ambiance.
With magnetic wall panels, brands can easily arrange and adjust their displays. A 24-hour video system allows companies to broadcast promotional content, extending campaign impact and creating a continuous loop between physical and digital brand exposure.
At the heart of the space stands a “Future Life Tree,” its trunk surrounded by a circular tea and coffee bar. Between its branches hang interactive installations like personal photo displays—visitors scan a QR code, upload a photo, and see it displayed as part of the tree. During the day, this area is a sun-dappled forest-like tea room as sunlight filters through colorful glass panels. At night, it transforms into the “XIN Universe” with deep purple lighting and immersive sound from the tree’s built-in speakers.
