The Circular Economy & Recycling Innovation Center transforms advanced industrial sustainability into an immersive spatial experience. Commissioned by United Microelectronics Corporation (UMC), the exhibition showcases the company’s leadership in circular economy technologies—particularly its innovations in wastewater recovery, material regeneration, and green manufacturing.

Designed as a hybrid between a corporate showroom and educational exhibit, the project interprets complex environmental data through a language of space, light, and interactivity. Visitors journey through thematic zones that visualize each stage of UMC’s recycling loop, from waste transformation to resource rebirth. Transparent touch screen, dynamic lighting, and responsive projections translate invisible industrial processes into intuitive, sensory experiences.

The design narrative emphasizes transparency, regeneration, and balance. Every spatial layer—from real-time visualization screens to communicate the flow of energy and matter within UMC’s sustainable ecosystem. Interactive displays encourage engagement with real industrial metrics, transforming corporate information into tangible learning moments.

Beyond its technological features, the center embodies UMC’s ESG philosophy, positioning sustainability not as a slogan but as a lived spatial value. The use of natural hues, soft gradients, and fluid spatial circulation evokes both scientific precision and environmental empathy. Lighting design plays a critical role, guiding visitors through the exhibit’s narrative rhythm while symbolizing the transformation of waste into renewal.

The project represents a new model of corporate environmental storytelling—where interior design becomes a bridge between industry, education, and community. It demonstrates how immersive environments can visualize the unseen, inspire accountability, and redefine how innovation is communicated to the public.

Ultimately, the Circular Economy & Recycling Innovation Center is more than an exhibit—it is a manifesto in motion, illustrating how design can activate awareness and foster dialogue toward a more sustainable industrial future.
