About The Entry

This project embraces the core concept of an "Urban Spirit Vessel." It is designed for a repatriated client accustomed to minimalist and comfortable living, who seeks a space that balances relaxation with practicality. The design boldly eliminates traditional enclosed layouts in favor of a fully open plan. Expansive floor-to-ceiling windows act as a medium, blurring the boundaries between inside and out, and framing the greenery of the surrounding park and the city skyline as a living, integral part of the interior canvas.

The spatial planning radically removes physical barriers between the living room, dining area, and kitchen, creating a unified, freely flowing volume. Functional zones are subtly defined through furniture arrangements—such as modular sofas and a curved island—and circulation paths. This approach maintains area definition while fostering interaction and a sense of spatial breathability. The overarching goal is to create a true sanctuary that meets the client's desire for quality and ritualistic living.

Innovations include a custom-shaped ceiling that discreetly conceals original beams and columns, preserving the space's aesthetic purity. A whole-house intelligent lighting system adapts to various scenarios and moods. The wet bar area features a thoughtfully lowered curved island and a wall adorned with crystal mosaics, meticulously laid by hand by a master artisan, transforming daily hydration into an artistic experience.

Material selections strike a balance between warm woods and cool metals, articulating a theme of "refined relaxation." A lowered walnut wood ceiling in the dining area creates an intimate ambiance, while the sleeping area features a low-profile bed, ensuring unparalleled comfort, a sense of security, and a refined aesthetic. By eschewing fleeting trends and focusing on a timeless fusion of classic and modern, the design ensures long-term relevance and a fundamentally sustainable ethos.

The space leaves a profound impression of openness, tranquility, and refined elegance. Artistic elements like an abstract painting and a sculptural pendant lamp serve as captivating focal points. Ultimately, the most memorable aspect is the unique atmosphere of "breathing within flow and achieving abundance through simplicity"—elevating the home from a mere residence to the very embodiment of an aspirational lifestyle.
