About The Entry

"In music, a chord consists of three or more notes that sound together in harmony. Chords can be played on instruments such as the piano or guitar, but not on those that produce only one note at a time, like the trumpet.

Much like a family, where each member plays a unique role, yet lives together in the same space. Within this shared space, networks of pipes and tubes run quietly throughout—discreetly connecting, silently supporting the harmony and connection among them."

Located in a low-density residential building in Kowloon Tong, adjacent to the quiet Broadcast Drive, this apartment has been reimagined by Handover Studio (HOS) to respond to the growing culture of working from home.

On the side facing Lion Rock, the design introduces a slender, multifunctional performance area that doubles as a home cinema and live piano space. From here, residents can enjoy panoramic views of Kowloon Tong while immersing themselves in both the tranquillity and dynamism of artistic living.

To help residents transition from the city's fast pace, a semi-enclosed foyer at the entrance acts as a buffer zone between the outside world and the home.

Equipped with concealed shoe cabinets and wardrobes, the foyer offers both practical storage and a calming moment of pause, inviting residents to slow down and reconnect with the warmth of home.
