The Onyx Mirage 40i Electric Fire is a zero direct emission electric fire designed for modern living, delivering captivating flame visuals that can be enjoyed with or without heat. Ideal for new builds, renovations and fireplace upgrades, the Mirage 40i puts atmosphere first, offering the cosy presence of a fire without any of the hassle.



At its heart is our innovative, patented Mirage Virtual Flame System – delivering a breathtaking illusion using real woodburning visuals, including footage of real logs. The exposed, hand-painted, log-effect matches and is precisely modelled on the firewood shown in the flame visuals, enhancing the feeling of depth and natural movement. Glass chippings and vermiculite complete the ember bed, all resulting in an immersive, lifelike firebox.



Five flame effects – roaring, medium, lazy, ember glow and the contemporary Aurora setting – allow users to recreate the natural lifecycle of a fire. A host of log and ember bed lighting colours with adjustable brightness and pulsing speeds result in a mesmerising display.

The Mirage 40i is complemented by a choice of decorative facades, in various finishes – from a brass-effect to a contemporary matt black, available across various styling options.



App control ensures effortless operation, alongside energy-saving features including thermostatic control, open window detection, deep sleep mode and a fan-only mode for year-round enjoyment and heatless visuals.



Its ultra-slim design requires a recess depth of just 71.3mm, allowing it to fit neatly into standard 16” fireplace openings and delivering exceptional space-saving benefits.



The Mirage 40i is also an excellent solution for replacing inefficient open fires. With no chimney required, the existing fireplace void can be sealed to prevent draughts and heat loss, helping to improve overall energy efficiency. When warmth is needed, a discreet, low-mounted heater delivers gentle convected heat. Unlike top-down heating systems found in many competitor products, this approach is both more effective and visually unobtrusive.
