This project consists of the interior fit-out of a three-storey office space for EY in Angola. The design concept is deeply rooted in Angolan culture, drawing inspiration from the country’s colors, traditions, and artisanal heritage, and translating them into a contemporary corporate environment.
The central core of the project acts as its conceptual and visual anchor. Finished in earthy tones, particularly terracotta, it evokes the color of Angolan soil and establishes a strong connection to the land. Geometric patterns are applied throughout this core, inspired by traditional African textiles and handcrafted fabrics, reinterpreted in a modern and abstract language. These patterns create rhythm, texture, and identity, reinforcing a sense of place within the workspace.
The project stands out through its bold use of strong, vibrant colors, which are strategically combined to energize the office environment and reflect the richness of Angolan culture. These colors are balanced with organic forms that soften the spatial experience and promote fluid movement across the three floors. Curved elements are used in circulation areas and communal spaces, fostering interaction, comfort, and a more human-centered workplace.
By blending cultural references with contemporary office design principles, the project creates a workspace that is both expressive and functional. It offers EY a distinctive identity in Angola, celebrating local traditions while supporting collaboration, efficiency, and well-being. The result is an interior environment that honors cultural heritage and transforms it into a modern, dynamic, and inspiring place to work.
