Ecology is Spirituality: Ling Jiou Mountain Exhibition

Ling Jiou Mountain is a Buddhist monastery dedicated to the philosophy of "Ecology is Spirituality," characterized by its carefully preserved forest landscapes and sacred halls built in harmony and symbiosis with nature.

This special exhibition is situated at Fucheng (City of Felicity), a new landmark of Ling Jiou Mountain that opened in 2025. This AR-enhanced Buddhist learning space brims with positive energy, providing an inspiring environment for this journey of spiritual awakening.

Master Hsin Tao of Ling Jiou Mountain issues this call: "In facing the current ecological crisis, the most fundamental solution lies in the spiritual awakening of humanity, for the root of the crisis stems from human greed, hatred, and ignorance." Only by re-examining our state of mind and learning to establish a relationship of respect, moderation, and symbiosis with all living things can true ecological restoration begin to take place.

The exhibition is thus divided into the following sections:

Exhibition Entrance: Planetary and meadow installations highlight the theme of the universe and nature.

Conversations among Stars: Visitors project their own "stars" via an app to visualize their unique connection to the cosmos.

Masters’ Resonation: Master Hsin Tao’s philosophy echoes the wisdom of global thought leaders.

Corridor of Time and Space: A curved walkway featuring immersive floor projections of swaying treetops from Ling Jiou Mountain.

Floating Vessel: At the theater entrance, visitors choose symbolic cushions (tools or living beings) to carry into the screening, reinforcing a physical bond with the exhibition.

Spiritual Ecology Picture Book Theater: An immersive video journey from Earth’s pristine origins to modern civilization's crisis, reflecting on our environmental responsibility.

Heart of Spirituality: The finale guides visitors to place cushions on a tree-trunk base, symbolizing the letting go of all attachments.

A Vow for the Earth: The exhibition concludes with an interactive projection, inviting visitors to submit digital commitments to practicing ecological protection.

The exhibition illustrates that peace is not merely a social issue between humans, but one that encompasses the profound relationship between humanity, nature, and all living beings.
