This project draws its inspiration from the piano, an instrument that has been my companion since childhood. For me, playing was never just about producing sound; it was a kinesthetic experience where notes transformed into movement, melody, and an immersive harmony between body and soul. In those moments, time would dissolve, leaving only the pure joy of the present.
This led me to a central question: Can architecture evoke a similarly immersive state through spatial movement?
To explore this, I abstracted the silhouette of a single piano key, elevating it into a three-dimensional module that serves as the fundamental building block. Within this form, I embedded playful architectural elements—stairs, escalators, platforms, and corridors—allowing them to fit together like musical notes on a staff. These modules were then materialized using 3D printing and assembled into a cohesive structure.
My aspiration is for the building's interior to function like the soundbox of a piano. Instead of physical sound waves, it is designed to channel a different kind of "sound": the rhythm and cadence created by sightlines and human pathways. The goal is to orchestrate these movements into a harmonious experience, one that instills a sense of peaceful joy and makes visitors lose track of time.
